Becks Hit the North Party

The Arc car park is the setting for the second car park rave to feature in our compilation. Belfast’s leading promoters (Night Institute, Twitch, Aux and Inside Moves) have joined forces with Becks whilst Belfast Underground stream the entire thing live.

Belfast’s promoters have spearheaded the venture of putting Belfast on the clubbing map with reams upon reams of stellar bookings, and for Culture Night they’ve acquired the services of rising house music talent in the form of thatmanmonkz.

Thatmanmonkz is a producer based in Sheffield and in 2014 launched his very own imprint, Shadeleaf Music, which has gone on to become firmly established in the ecosystem of electronic music. Releases on Kolour LTD and Jimpster’s Delusions of Grandeur played their part in prestigious recognition; the producer was placed at 45th in Traxsource’s best artists of the year.

“‘monkz manages to tread that fine line of simultaneously picking up props from all angles and wrecking dance floors the world over whilst remaining resolutely underground, and focused on the more interesting corners of dance music.”
