Eoin DJ announces five-track ‘We Need It’ EP featuring Kim Ann Foxman remix
World of Worlds label head Eoin DJ steps up for the imprint’s third release, following music from Maruwa and Bella Sarris.
Their five-track ‘We Need It’ EP was written between the Irish island of Inis Oírr and Berlin. The tracks explore an emotive-leaning side of electronic music, moving through house, progressive, and breakbeat influences.
‘We Need It’ opens the release with a prominent bassline and a rousing vocal hook, ‘U Can Have It’ draws on tripped-out electro house and classic tech rhythms.
‘Drop Everything’ introduces breakbeats, bodhráns, and Eoin’s own vocals, while the final original ‘Shades of Shades’ looks towards golden-era progressive, combining euphoric synth stabs, bongos, and vocals.
Kim Ann Foxman closes the release with her rework of ‘Shades of Shades’, turning the track into a deeper production with a more intriguing atmosphere.
Eoin DJ – We Need It EP is out October 15th on World of Worlds.
