Modeselektor announce new ‘MDSLKTR’ album and share single ‘AORTA’
Modeselektor return with their first new studio album since revisiting their back catalogue on ‘Modeselektor Classics Vol. 01’, bringing twelve new tracks to Monkeytown Records in January 2027.
The duo have spent almost three decades moving freely between techno, electro, rave, and experimental, with ‘MDSLKTR’ continuing that refusal to settle into a single subgenre.
The album grew from revisiting material from the ‘Hello Mom!’ and ‘Happy Birthday!’ era, ‘AORTA’ provides the first glimpse of the record, with the Berlin artists describing it as a snapshot of the point where the album began to take shape.
It features collaborative contributions from Kabeaushé, Siriusmo, Miss Platnum, Tommy Cash, Lars Eidinger, and Gudrun Gut.
