Venture towards the Oh Yeah Music Centre between half six and nine for a moving live soundscape titled a placetogo, made possible by the creative minds behind Oscillate.

The concept is curated by Justine McDonnell and is performed by Amanda Coogan, Dermot Gibson, Rachel Rankin, Mark Nangle, Dara Flanagan, Susannah Wilson, Damien Magee and McDonnell herself as they take you on a journey in response to the architecture of space.

A dialogue is birthed between artist, object and audience through the implementation of visuals, digital sound, recordings, voice, found objects and musical instruments, carefully crafted together with choreographed sequences and improvisation.

“The limitations and demands of the materials are met, shaping the live performance, creating interesting overlaps and repetition. In the context of the performance sound becomes a tool, a form to work with to convey peculiarities, possibilities, interactions and constraints.”
