Influential American selector Victor Calderone has a track record that speaks volumes about his success over the past 20 years. His work is regarded by many as seminal for club music, having played venues like DC-10, Club Space, and Amnesia.
This month will see Calderone resurrect his MATTER+ label by welcoming his cousin and colleague Avision to the label’s relaunch. The pair will release their new ‘Chemical’ EP, which comes five years after the last MATTER+ release.
The EP delivers a head-turning body of work from the two producers, and marks a promising return for MATTER+ Recordings and the start of a new chapter in their story.
To celebrate the relaunch, two MATTER+ events have already been booked, with Calderone and Avision playing at Public Records in Brooklyn on June 1st, and then in Stereo Montreal on June 24th.
“The timing couldn’t be better for the MATTER relaunch. Avision and I have always been musically aligned, and we are ready to share this next chapter for the label.” Says Victor.
