Teenage Mutants & A*S*Y*S remix Nure’s ‘Onna’
As one of the emerging artists on the French techno scene, Nure has recently revisited one of the deeper tracks from her back catalogue, ‘Onna’, and commissioned new remixes from A*S*Y*S and Teenage Mutants.
The track was originally released by Nure’s own Intention Music imprint and the new remixes are also coming via the same record label. The original mix of ‘Onna’ is melodic techno with deep atmospherics, but both of the remixes are fierce and packed full of aggression.
A*S*Y*S’ remix opens the release with its tough percussion and a euphoric synth line from the original, but it’s not long before he introduces his trademark acid style. A*S*Y*S is a German DJ known best for the many classics released on his own record label Fe Chrome.
Teenage Mutants’ remix is the more atmospheric of the two edits, but it’s still driving techno with industrial percussion laying a foundation for the original’s uplifting synth work. The track has a strong contrast with the dark and murky atmosphere being layered with undertones of euphoria.
