Releasing on Monaberry, Snatch! and various other imprints, there’s few duos who have made an impact quite like that of Herford-based Hanne & Lore.

The German two piece join us for MIX090 in our series, marking the milestone of another decade on our way to MIX100!

Hanne & Lore are Steffen Neuhaus (Hanne) & Stefan Helmke (Lore) – two lovely guys from the german westside.

Your Tuna In original is out soon on the upcoming Monaberry Compilation, tell us about the track?

Hanne & Lore

Tuna In comes in the end of January and describes the whole madness of the roland SH 2000 (an old synthesizer from 1974).

No fucks given on the right tuning, quantize, timing or expected song arrangement. You can really call this track the result of a late night jam session.

And ‘street kings 2.0’ coming on Snatch! also at the end of January. Got some influences of the late 90’s garage bassline stuff – keeping it more interesting with some choirs, short chords and lots of short ticks, tacks and tocks here and there.

We would really like to work with Dirtybird, because we’re huge fans of the label and play lots of their tracks.

No plans like always. Just do what we love to do & see what will happen.

What’s the coolest thing in your house?

Hanne & Lore

Steffen: My kitchen (I love cooking) and of course my piano.

Stefan: my ‘ok baby sit-down arcade cabinet’ for playing video games like in the good old days.

What’s about your label HEULS– — USE – any roadmap for 2016 here?

As there’s no pressure, we’ll release only a few new EP’s like last year too. But nothing ready right now.
