Russian producer and Fata Morgana main man Kito Jempere returns to Dirt Crew with a five tracker entitled Akio EP. Based around two of his own productions, this versatile project also calls upon Nachtbreaker and Helsinki’s favorite Roberto Rodriguez to work wonders on remix duty.

Do You Know Me sets the tone in orderly fashion; a washy house number that ebbs and flows until you’re hit in the face with a wall of sample-based melody and thick low end. Switching seamlessly between contemporary styles, the St. Petersburg-based producer then delivers A Thousand Times, a plodding masterpiece that keeps you guessing throughout.

Dirt Crew regular and Amsterdam resident Nachtbreaker has made a name for himself as one of the most trusted purveyors of deep, melodic house, and through this interpretation of A Thousand Times you can see why. The addition of a bubbly little bassline completely transforms this one into the perfect summer house track.

Last to the stage is Roberto Rodriguez, who offers two vastly different yet equally quality interpretations of Do You Know Me. The first of which is a stripped-back, club-ready groover that’s certain to be doing the rounds on dancefloors for months to come. His 2 Pop 4 Pop remix is the perfect end to this project, a laid-back, nu-disco/indie jam that’s impossible not to move to.
