Clif Jack is an emerging techno artist that we discovered via the Solamente record label, which is run by Deborah De Luca. His new ‘Impervium’ EP includes two peak-time techno tracks which feature acid synth lines and captivating vocals.
The label often continues to support artists that do well on the imprint, and it appears this release has already charted on Beatport’s top 100 techno releases, which makes us think that this won’t be the last time we see Clif Jack on Solamente.
‘Impervium’ kicks off the EP with pulsating acid bass and a slamming kick drum. Shrouded in a mix of dramatic atmospheric textures and effects, the track’s namesake vocal sample is its defining element.
The second of the two originals is ‘Think Believe Dream Rave’ and it’s arguably the stronger of the two tracks, as its distinctive vocal definitely makes it quite memorable. It’s also got a powerful lead synth that intermingles with the fizzling high-end percussion and driving kick drum. It seems highly likely we will hear this doing some damage on the dance floor.
Clif Jack – Impervium is out now on Solamente.
