Novelist’s anti-establishment agenda continues with ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’

Lewisham MC Novelist and producer Nick Hook have shared their grimey banger ‘Can’t Tell Me Nothing’, which is now out on Fools Gold.

Earlier this year Nov jetted out to New York where he met Hook, resulting in the birth of the collaboration. The track was recorded in Hook’s studio, The Space Pit, where Hook recorded his impending album Relationships.

The track maintains Novelist’s strong vendetta against government policies whilst the video shows footage of the riots in Lewisham, explaining that they’re a reflection of the reality of rich looking out for the rich.

The MMMYEH founder took to Instagram to announce the fresh outlook on life that Hook has established within him.

“Nick Hook gave me a new outlook on life when I met him in New York at 18 years old when I went out there alone. He reiterated to me that FREEDOM starts in the mind and to do what you want with 100% of your energy.”

“I’ve been taking my own time to understand life guys and I wanna say that the race is not for the swift, but remain to be certain in everything. At times I’ve not been certain about what I want to do with myself but it’s the wise words of good friends and my bible that keep my mind in the right place. Write your plans on your walls and paper, stick to them and don’t stop till the casket drops. Love!”
