Let’s be honest, winter can get pretty grim. Yes, we’ve got Christmas, log fires playfully burning and all the cosy clothes in the world, but those cold nights can get a little bit tiresome.
These days the festival circuit is a year round thing, meaning you can book a trip away to replace the straight to DVD Christmas movies that your mum just loves with enough dancing to warm the saddest of spirits.
So, what will it be? Raving in the Pyrenees? Supporting a culture? Shredding through the Bulgarian hills? It’s a lovely thought isn’t it?
Choosing a festival is always a difficult task, so we’ve done the job for you; taking a closer look at some of the best events taking place this winter throughout Europe.

Interval 100 (Romania)
The Interval 100 gang are back for their second edition of their “non-stop club concept”, taking place in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca from November 29th to December 4th. The project is the longest music event in Europe as party goers unite for one hundred hours of euphoria.
A stellar selection of venues play host to some pretty impressive names over the course of five days. Gazzette, Form Space and Club Napoca welcome the likes of Mala, Coki, Route 8, Matrixxman, Cosmin TRG and none other than techno founder Juan Atkins. A full pass isn’t going to leave you skint either. Just €65.
