Premiere: Lee Ann Roberts – Alter Ego (Milo Spykers Remix)

Amsterdam-based DJ, producer, and label don Lee Ann Roberts welcomes another stellar sonic offering via her consistently impressive NowNow Records imprint.

The label has already seen cuts from a bunch of great producers in the past, with Frazi.er, Myler, Dense & Pika, and Jay Clarke all having previously made appearances.

The latest release to grace NowNow is a 4-tracker from Roberts herself, as her ‘Alter Ego’ original is paired with remix work from Lokier, Tred, and Milo Spykers.

It’s the Belgium native Milo Spykers’ edit that first caught our attention on this one, as he delivers a raw and unforgiving club sound that combines thumping kick drums, a deep, pulsating low end, and abrasive synth rhythms which perfectly round out the soundscape.

Spykers is a growing force on the international techno circuit, with a DJ resume which includes sets at London’s Printworks, Ibiza’s DC-10, and Amsterdam’s Gashouder. He has also been a key part of Amelie Lens’ Lenske catalogue, and boasts additional releases on Low Life Club and Index Marcel Fengler.
