Fresh Picks: Teenage Mutants

German techno duo Teenage Mutants have been at the forefront of their countries techno scene for a few years now, thanks to their well polished, unrelenting, and dancefloor-focused brand of darkened techno.

Their past releases have made appearances with a number of top labels in the genre, including the likes of Filth On Acid, Set About, TRAGEDIE, Riot Recordings, and 1605.

Having already seen several of their productions surpass the one million plays mark on Spotify and YouTube, the pair are now one of the most in-demand names for European techno labels.

We welcome Teenage Mutants to this months edition of our Fresh Picks series, where they put the spotlight on new and exciting tracks from Oliver Huntemann, ANNA, Shaun Moses, and Ilario Alicante. Get the full list, including words from Teenage Mutants themselves, below.

Aardy & Shaun Moses – Mixes Signals

“Aardy delivers another heavy techno tool with his buddy Shaun Moses. The bassline and vocal cuts push the track to the limit. We played it in several clubs and the people went nuts. Simply insane. He has that sense for producing really workable techno tracks. Always for the crowd and the dancefloor with no excuses. We will definitely play this track in 2022 again.”

It feels like we are back in the ’90s with a fresh taste of 2021’s techno sounds. Really nice to see that she is also trying to find new interpretations for her tracks.
