With Scottish DJ Jackmaster making headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, due to his disrespectful treatment of staff members during Love Saves The Day Festival, it has come to surface that at least one member of staff suffered sexual harassment. Something Jackmaster has admitted to.
Since then he has been removed from Bristol’s In:Motion line up which is scheduled to take place September 18th. The In:Motion team opened their statement with: “In light of recent events, news on Resident Advisor and as a mark of respect to those affected, Motion and Jackmaster have mutually agreed for Jack to not appear at our upcoming This Is In:Motion event.”
One of the UK’s most popular DJs alongside Jackmaster, Ben UFO, has also taken to Twitter to share his concern as to how easily Jackmaster is getting off, with some media websites even using the news to push their own content that might feature Jackmaster.
The Hessle Audio founder mentions “Jack’s actions are indefensible, and when I heard the news I was extremely angry and upset”, adding “The way things have unravelled on social media this week has been so disappointing, and it’s what has prompted me to write these tweets.”
