New version of Roland 909-Rhythm Composer potentially on its way

Thirty three years ago the TR-909 Rhythm Composer was released by Roland, resulting in an era of techno celebration. An event focused on the iconic piece of tech is expected to take place next month, with Roland AIRA revealing a brand new set of instruments to get excited about.

The event is called the 909 Celebration, which has provoked thought that a potential 909 remake could be on the cards; the piece of kit hasn’t been on the market since 1985. The gear will be announced via a live stream on September 9th, showcasing a range of “new and inspiring electronic instruments.”
