Philipp Jung, co-founder of Get Physical Music and Kindisch, has died. He was also one half of the influential DJ and production duo M.A.N.D.Y. alongside Patrick Bodmer. The cause of death has not been made public.
A key figure in German and wider European club culture from the late 1990s onwards, Jung played a central role in shaping the sound and identity of Get Physical Music, a label closely associated with artists including Booka Shade, Monkey Safari, Birds of Mind, and Yulia Niko.
Through M.A.N.D.Y., he also contributed to the globally recognised club anthem ‘Body Language’ with Booka Shade.
Across his career, Jung was regarded as an important presence in the evolution of melodic and minimalist club music, with his work as a DJ, label head, and producer influencing multiple generations of artists and labels.
Thoughts are with his family, friends, and the Get Physical Music team.
