Gaika signs to Warp Records

Brixton artist Gaika unites the sounds of the Carribean and UK grime to produce work that provokes intense movement, movement that does not seem to be faltering, now the South London producer has announced he’s signed to Warp Records.

Gaika has debuted ‘3D’ on the imprint, a track that Warp describe as an “affront to the oppressive forces at work in the world”. The surfacing of ‘3D’ follows the release of Gaika’s Security mixtape, which was released back in April through Mixpak.

You can catch Gaika on August 11th at Camden’s Roadhouse for what is being credited as an “imaginary club experience.” Club 88 draws inspiration from Akira, the Security mixtape and is a component in Ron Arad’s three hundred and sixty degrees installation, titled Curtain Call.
