Electro-Harmonix Mini-Synthesiser transformed into iOS app

Many classic synths have been transformed and condensed into iOS apps recently, including Moog’s model 15 modular. The Electro-Harmonix Mini-Synthesiser is the latest to join the iOS family.

The synth was released in the early 80’s and at first glance it does not appear to be a professional tool. Real keys are replaced with a touch sensitive keyboard and a few questionable reviews surfaced during the period in which the synth was used.

Whilst sound creation was very limited, the synth possessed the ability to generate a recognisable bass sound that found its home in rock and electronic music.

The app looks very similar to the original piece of kit. 22 presets are available and it features the same filter controls and oscillator. The app also features additional delay and reverb effects.

The app is available now from the App Store at the price of £3.99. An Android version is coming in October.
