Chainsmokers face backlash after racist comment

US pop duo Chainsmokers have received backlash on social media following a comment during an interview for the build up to Ultra China.

When asked about if he would bring his dog on tour with him, Alex Pall said “Well, I don’t know if I’d bring her to China.” in relation to the unpopular tradition of eating dog meat in China.

The Yulin Dog Meat Festival is still on-going in China and reportedly results in the butchering of over 10,000 dogs annually.
