Hailing from Bucharest, Romania, Vivi St has been swift to make a mark. His latest two track player titled ‘Horizon EP’ comes to us via 1838 Records. Having previous experience through his work as a sound designer and foley engineer. It’s no surprise how fast the Romanian has managed to put out such an impressive feature.
Titled ‘7.1’ and ‘7.2’, it’s possible there’s an interesting back story to the naming of the tracks. ‘7.1’ comes in as a rough, somewhat lofi blend of sonic clarity and honesty. The use of heavy processing on the dub-esque chords is aided gently by raw percussion and a sense of traditional rhythm. While ‘7.2’ is a much cleaner, rolling club track that features the same style of chords and percussive hits, but is set much more focused on the peak time DJ set.
