Alongside imprints such as AUS Music and Defected Records, Hypercolour have set the bar high for British dance music, their ability to consistently serve up unique and innovative players has no doubt cemented their vision as a go to output for sonically crisp vibes, giving us everything from House and Techno to Electro and Disco.
2015 saw a good start for the label, bringing names such as Seth Troxler and Dense & Pika to their catalogue. Their 44th EP will see J.Wiltshire’s return, bringing Gerd Janson and Philip Lauer’s alter ego Tuff City Kids alongside for the ride.
Titled False Awakening, the player comes as four cuts with two edits from both J.Wiltshire and Tuff City Kids. We bring an exclusive first listen of TCK’s vibey electro fueled remix.
Complete with heavy drum hits, a platter of processed vocal chops and chunky percussive hits that bring a perfect weighty groove for a sweat infested afterparty, you can expect this one to go off no matter what the occasion. The break is met with a hands up melody driven organ that sends a proper sense of nostalgia through the speaker.
Get ‘J.Wiltshire – False Awakening EP’ from May 25th via Hypercolour.
