Having previous players on Black Butter and Voyager, features across the board on XLR8R and Mixmag and collabs with top acts such as Synkro; Troy Gunner has built a sonic portfolio that can hold it’s own.

His latest Red Wine Lips EP brings three cuts to Hypercolour relative Losing Suki, titles Playin’, Red Wine Lips and Lay bring a mesh of vibey grooves and off beat rhythms. We premiere closing track Lay in full.

Delivering chunky drum hits, skippy percussion and filtered synth pads, the heavy driven Lay brings together dark techno-esque drums with free flowing riffs of crunchy hat and perc hits. With Gunner’s use of smooth filters on the choppy pads brings a warm touch to the mix.

Having entered 2015 with catalogue additions from Shenoda and Last Magpie – to name a few – Troy Gunner seems the perfect recruit to take the label into summer ’15, his stellar take on club ready bass music will no doubt make appearances across European dance floors; having already garnered support from Maya Jane Coles and Groove Armada among others.

Get ‘Troy Gunner – Red Wine Lips’ from July 17th on Losing Suki.
