Following a number of 2023 single releases with Armada Music, Belfast-based producer Trance Wax has confirmed that his second studio album will come via the renowned Dutch imprint this September.

‘Open Up The Night’ follows his 2016-released debut long player on Anjunadeep, bringing 16 tracks in total, the new album also includes his edit of ‘Rhythm Of The Night’, which was previously part of his ‘Trance Wax 7’ EP.

Combining everything from uplifting trance and breakbeat, to progressive and drum & bass, ‘Open Up The Night’ further cements the Trance Wax sound as being one that’s equally eclectic as it is technically adept.

The project will also see him develop a brand new live show that will debut at London’s Village Underground in September, alongside visuals from Dan Tombs – who has worked with artists such as Jon Hopkins and Fred Again in the past.

Discussing the album, Trance Wax added: “Listeners can expect a switch up in BPM compared with the last album, which is really a reflection of what I love listening to. There’s some drum and bass influences woven in, and also a bit of breakbeat, which adds a new dimension to the whole thing. It’s the product of a good few years of experimentation which resulted in something really fast and exciting.”

It will be available as a digital release, as well as as on a limited run double pack vinyl.

Trance Wax – Open Up The Night LP drops this September on Armada Music.
