When it comes to influential dance labels, it’s hard to list off imprints without mentioning Berlin’s iconic Get Physical Music and with releases from Catz ‘N Dogz, M.A.N.D.Y. and Booka Shade in their catalogue most people would have them near the top of such a list.
They now ready up for release number 313, a chunky tech driven four tracker from ALiVE Recordings boss Tom Budden and Canada’s rising star Forrest.
The two bring Quattro EP with Quattro and On The Low originals, as well as a Monday Club mix of On The Low and a VIP edit for Quattro titled ‘Tom’s Acid Dub’.
We premiere the boys On The Low original, coming as an edgy tech cut that pulls together hypnotic vocal hooks and sharp synth lines that are controlled by a tight filter envelope and it carries all the traits for a percussion heavy, after party anthem.
Also worth a mention is Monday Club’s Quattro remix, taking the nostalgic chord driven original and morphing it into a dark electro monster that would no doubt change the shape of any dance floor.
Get ‘Tom Budden and Forrest – Quattro EP’ from July 20th on Get Physical Music.
