Thom Yorke plays acoustic set in neighbours back garden

Usually when you go to a garden party, you expect lowkey entertainment. Perhaps at the swankier do’s you could be forgiven for expecting some sort of band playing along discreetly in the corner, what you don’t expect is the frontman of one of the most iconic bands in the world happily strumming away on his acoustic guitar while you help yourself to some potato salad.

This is what attendants of a garden party in Oxford were treated to on Sunday, as Thom Yorke played a stripped back set that featured tracks such as ‘Desert Island Disk’, ‘No Surprises’, ‘Street Spirit’, ‘Reckoner’, and ‘I Might Be Wrong’.

The information comes from a Reddit user named verylittlesound. He was made aware of the unannounced gig by his father who sent him a text stating that “Tom York” was set to be the evenings entertainment.

You could certainly have a worse Sunday.
