Japanese techno fiend Takahiro Oisi teams up with Spain’s Fanzine Records for the first edition of their new Timeless series. Alongside Oswld and Santiago Salazar, the sampler is set to be a big step for the label, who having previous releases from Hd Substance and Basic Soul Unit, have already made their mark.
Titled ‘Citronella Acid’, the track comes complete with soft resonance, cold techno inspired drums and almost creepy percussion that lends it’s self so well to the pitch black aesthetic of slow, emotive techno. The use of a always changing, and some what rhythmic stab patterns brings a nice melodic feel to the sonic character, before the track once again retreats to the dark corner of the music landscape.
It strongly takes our pick from the three included, ticking all the boxes for either the applicable DJ set, or that after party playlist that will see morning come through.
