Stream Mat.Joe’s ‘Home Newde’ For Mother Recordings

Berlin is no doubt known for it’s consistent ability to push out innovative and boundary pushing artists, so much so that it is now perhaps difficult to stand out from the crowd. With releases on OFF Recordings, Hot Creations and Katermukke to name a few, German house duo Mat.Joe have not only stood out, but have took the term to a whole new level.

Their God Damn Wait EP comes as two nice cuts; title track God Damn Wait, and Home Newde. Track one comes straight in as a no thrills underground banger, providing all the parts for an in your face royal rumble. While the break keeps things light enough that it serves well on the dance floor.

Home Newde holds a similiar aesthetic, but pushes a much brighter tone. It’s uplifting top line and mid level chords instil a real sense of summer, a vibe that will no doubt see this one make an impression come the sunny months.
