Steven De Koda drops new single ‘Do You Know’
Steven De Koda is an up-and-coming UK artist who we first spotted via his release on Balthazar & JackRock’s Renesanz imprint.
Based in Cheshire, England, he is a young artist who is early on in his career, but has already started to define a sound that focuses on peak time techno with a raw energy.
His new release is in a style similar to artists such as UMEK, as it blends thundering kick drums with a frantic melodic synth that has hints of euphoria. Ominous vocals and bursts of acid augment the groove and add to the overall dark aesthetic of the track.
The single release is out now on a recently launched label called Opaque, which is run by the Chicago-based duo Dominus, who themselves have released on imprints such as Indigo Raw and Moretin.
This release is the third offering from Opaque, and it leaves us excited about what they have to come in the near future.
