Sirens Of Lesbos Ecstasy gets the remix treatment on Exploited Rec’ for the 100th digital release on the Berlin label, and Exploited have went all out on selecting the remix talent.
First to take the stage is German disco connoisseur Purple Disco Machine, the vibe maker has appeared on every imprint from OFF Recordings and Defected to Kitball and Gomma; constantly being recruited for his magician like remix skills. His mix brings a free flowing and all our happy sound, adding guitar riffs, tropical melodies and damp reverbs to the mix.
Dutch two piece Kraak & Smaak’s mix brings a crunchy bass line and heavier house drums, chopping the vocals down to play a more ‘fx’ type role. It’s defintely the deeper remix on the player, and the harmonies between the vocal, bassline and synth pads create a beautiful bed of character that makes this one perfect for the DJ set that coincides with the sunset.
XXXY close the EP out with their deep tech edit, bringing heavily processed chord riffs, dark percussion and a truely rhythmic monster. The percussion couldn’t be more crunchy and the drums are intelligently mixed into the dark undertones of the bassline.
