Belfast’s Schmutz saw a great 2014, releasing on labels such as Dirt Crew and 4LUX. They once again return to Berlin’s Dirt Crew Recordings for a massive five tracker. The strong player sees five heavy hitters titled Peelers, Gold Bars, The Charge, Sherara and DDLF. A dark aesthetic and heavy beats are present throughout, with Gold Bars being the strongest of the bunch. It’s chunky bass synths and pitch black audio fx still well together, with the addition of a tight envelope on the melodic riff having the arrangement in constant progression.
