The current pandemic has unfortunately made the 2020 festival season non existent, with hundreds of international festivals either cancelling completely or postponing through to 2021.
Originally planning to take place from May 23 through May 24 this year, Scotland’s Riverside Festival has been postponed and will now take place from May 28th through May 30th 2021.
Alongside the announcement of a third day, the event planners behind Riverside have also confirmed Jamie xx as an additional headliner, alongside the previously confirmed Amelie Lens and Disclosure.
Any ticket holders for the 2020 edition of the event will automatically have their tickets roll over to 2021, with weekend ticket holders also being upgraded to a 3-day ticket at no extra cost.
Riverside’s co-founder Mark Mackechnie said “We are delighted to announce the next years Riverside Festival will be a 3 day affair with 3 stages per day , running over the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Things are really coming together for this and with Jamie xx, Disclosure and Amelie Lens already confirmed with much more to be announced soon. We know the Scottish fans of electronic music are champing at the bit to get back on the dance floor.”
Tickets for the 2021 festival are currently priced at £135+BF for a 3-day ticket, or £55+BF for a single day ticket. Find more info here.
