Raidho is a Polish house artist who returns to Sabo’s Sol Selectas imprint with three new tracks that are hard to ignore. This is Raidho’s second full EP on the label, and each new appearance seems to raise the bar even higher.
There are also four remixes, two by LUM, one from West & Hill, and a collaborative effort between AMÉMÉ and NenaHalena. All of the remix artists also outdo themselves with stunning reworks that add new flavour to the original versions.
‘Jaguar Dance’ is the EP’s title track and anyone with a good knowledge of electronic music history will recognise the iconic melody that’s paying homage to DJ Rolando’s ‘Knights of the Jaguar’.
‘Whispers’ is the second of the originals and is a cinematic track with ominous bass textures and delicate melodies. It’s got a lot of atmospheric textures which keep the listener engaged with excited anticipation of what’s going to happen next.
‘Slow Life’ is the third and final original, a deep downtempo track which features tribal percussion and lots of textured organic sounds.
