Radiohead reveal ‘Daydreaming’ and announce release date of new album

Earlier today Radiohead shared a clip of a rather lost looking Thom Yorke wandering around an empty car park, accompanied by new music from the band.

Now Yorke and co have shared yet another track from their much anticipated 9th studio album, which has also been pencilled in for a Sunday 8th May release date.

The track, titled ‘Daydreaming’, is accompanied by a video directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. It shows Yorke doing exactly what it says on the tin, daydreaming throughout a very prolonged morning stroll. The video ends with what I can only describe as some sort of demonic prayer, the details of which I’m sure will be revealed in time.

The track itself is one of mourning. Yorke can be heard admitting that “it’s too late, the damage done” as he navigates his way through a number of doors, all of which lead to unconnected destinations, a bit like the portals in Disney’s Monsters Inc.

The albums physical release is set for June 17th, but it will be available digitally on May 8th.
