Premiere: QUARTZ ‘Crystals’ (Melokolektiv Edition)

Sincopat, OFF, Crosstown Rebels, Get Physical; those are just a few of the labels French two piece Melokolektiv has had the pleasure of calling home. Their dark and hypnotic hybrid of synthetic disco and club ready house has put them in the running for one hell of a journey.

They’re now called up by Chapter 24, whose new sampler series ‘First Editions’ brings a wealth of talent together for a single release. With inclusions from Framewerk, Sam Pauli, KatrinKa, Twelve Minds and QUARTZ among others, it will no doubt make a mark when it’s out.

Melokolektiv take their tools to QUARTZ Crystals, carving it into a blend of techno drums and carefully crafted synth lines. They do an excellent job keeping the sonic integrity of the original, not over doing the production.
