Premiere: Mr.KS – Take A Trip (Oli Furness Remix)

Oli Furness is renowned for being one of Britain’s most consistent producers, everything he touches is on point. With previous releases on Owain124 and Morris Audio, he has a strong catalogue of past releases, he now takes on the role of remixer whilst returning to his own Music Is Love imprint. Mr.KS’s ‘Take A Trip’ goes under the knife, with Oli in control, taking the bouncy, funky vibe of the original and warping it into a techno monster.

The concrete splitting drum hits and loose percussion create a perfect groove, include the trippy vocal chop and filter delays and it create an atmosphere that would likely resemble the resonance of a far out galaxy. His smart work on the dub stabs and hi hats bring a fresh and welcomed change when you think the vocal is becoming too much, it ends progressively, letting you see how well thought out the arrangement really is.
