Premiere: Marie Tjong-Ayong – Kick In The Garden

Having grown up as a child of musical parents, the odds were in favour of Marie Tjong-Ayong being inspired to pursue some kind of creative endeavour, and many years on she’s now an artist herself.

She’s still very much in the infancy of her career as a music producer, though if her latest 2-track ‘Green Lashes’ EP is anything to go by, then there’s really no limit to how far she can go.

The release brings original titles ‘Kick In The Garden’ and ‘Than Sadet’ to German imprint Sound of Berlin, where the likes of Marc Houle, Alinka, Chymera, and DJ T-1000 have released in the past.

We have the pleasure of premiering ‘Kick In The Garden’ exclusively in full, where we’re treated to a free flowing sound that sits somewhere between IDM and techno, and uses deep bass tones, vibrant percussive rhythms, and sonic textures to build a fluid and colourful soundscape.
