Portugal’s Colour In Music imprint bring us a stacked four tracker for their 14th release. Marcus Raute’s More Was Never Enough EP brings two originals from the young Londoner, while Black Loops and Georgi Barrel step up for remix duties.
More Was Never Enough and Downtown Party come together in this one, with the title track going under the knife of Berlin’s Black Loops while Georgi Barrel takes his tools to Downtown Party.
We bring an exclusive first stream of original #2 Downtown Party, a free flowing, vibey deep house club track. It’s soulful chord stabs and quirky ‘wow’ vocal hits create a proper edge for the dance floor. Raute also gives us expertly mixed percussion which for some reason plays a video of a middle aged 1950s house wife dancing with a movie set clapperboard. Cue Betty Draper.
Get ‘Marcus Raute – More Was Never Enough EP’ from May 25th via Colour In Music.
