Premiere: Jordan John – Cove
Steve Lawler’s VIVa Music Group has become a pretty important part of the British club music tapestry over the years. His work as a label boss has more impressive than almost anyone, and he’s earned his place amongst the elite in our industry.
Alongside the main imprint, he also runs a number of different sub labels, one of which is the electronica-leaning eVIVE Records. Previously eVIVE has brought us productions from the likes of Metrica, Komposit, and Jay Newman, and this week welcomes another new addition in Jordan John.
The Canadian producer has been rising through the ranks of his regional club scene at a pretty rapid pace, and has music scheduled on labels such as Yoshitoshi and Einmusika. He debuts on eVIVE with his inaugural artist album, titled ‘Who Is Jordan John’. It brings 10 new tracks to his catalogue, and we have the pleasure of premiering ‘Cove’.
The track fuses deep percussive-heavy grooves with energetic synth basslines and uplifting female vocal samples, for an overall tribal-touched melodic club sound.
