Premiere: JMX – Sometimes

Having had releases on reputable outlets such as 2020 Vision, Seven Music, Local Talk and of course his own Extended Play Recordings to name a few, Belfast’s JMX now returns to our audio feeds, complete with a stellar four tracker that alongside label partner Timmy Stewart see’s him return from a long time silence over on his SoundCloud.

Titled ‘Albany Park EP’ the player comes in at a little under 25 minutes, and is compiled of four impressive features; ‘Albany Park’, ‘Sometimes’, ‘Higher’ and ‘Deep In It’. We bring the exclusive premiere of the tightly sealed ‘Sometimes’, an array of vocal chops, funky bass tones and a blend of synth pads that attracts the purest kind of attention. Any listener caught by this one will no doubt find themselves lost for words.

It’s encouraging to see the pair behind the Extended Play name come together in such a flawless manner, spending the time to fine tune their own creative passion to really capture what the label is all about. It’s clearly about the music for these two, a trait that’s often pushed aside in favour of what’s ‘popular’.
