Fresh off his Somewhere Else EP late last year. Crackazat returns to European super label Local Talk for an impressive debut LP. The release see’s both artist and label put out their first artist album and we hope it’s the start of a longtime trend. Spanning across a 13 track selection, the album progresses nicely with inclusions of everything from house and disco to techno and even influences of jazz.
We bring the exclusive premiere of track one on the player, ‘Moon Ballad’. It’s unique blend of digital finesse and quirky character create a beautifully light and energetic rhythm. In our opinion it’s the most fun track on the album, creating a laid back environment as the album prepares to progress.
Other listings worth mentioning are ‘Tunnel’ and ‘Eye Light’. ‘Tunnel’ brings sense of weight, sitting comfortably in the middle of the album. While the soft chords and warm harmonies of ‘Eye Light’ deliver a kind touch, though both also feature that quirky, playful aesthetic heard throughout this one.
Grab Crackazat’s ‘Crescendo LP’, out this month on Local Talk.
