Premiere: Chicago Loop & Jack Smooth – Overspeed
UK techno specialists Chicago Loop and Jack Smooth join forces this week as the pair deliver their collaborative ‘Overspeed’ original to UK-based imprint Respekt Recordings.
Previously the two have collectively released music on Tronic, Non Stop Rhythm, and Say What?, while Respekt boasts past outings from producers like Gary Burrows, Transcode, and Shay De Castro.
‘Overspeed’ arrives as part of the latest in the Respekt Rebels series, with it’s 5th volume bringing 5 brand new tracks from Sam Kitt, Mark Porter, Jody 6, Atroxx – and of course Chicago Loop and Jack Smooth.
It’s a rough & ready dance cut which puts dense, gritty basslines alongside strong drum work and stiff rave stabs.
Respekt Rebels Vol.5 drops September 15th on Respekt Recordings.
