Novelist claims to have created a Grime sub genre

Lewisham MC Novelist is a grime artist saturated in natural talent, talent that has seen him get on the cover of Mixmag and collaborate with Skepta on ‘Lyrics from Konnichiwa.

Now the South London boy has created his own movement/genre within the UK Grime scene, titled Ruff Sound.

It’s a concept closely related to Grime, the difference being that Ruff Sound maintains a higher velocity of BPW which never strays far from the 152-160 mark.

The 19 year old piloted his new genre on Rinse FM with 40 minutes of vicious high tempo lyrics and production.
