MIX412: Giorgia Angiuli

Italian born selector Giorgia Angiuli makes her debut contribution to the Soundspace mix series, delivering a lean blend of hypnotic techno grooves and driving acid basslines.

Previous releases on Armada Music, Kurai Records, and Rave Alert have made her a stand out name across European techno in recent years, and since 2025 she also runs her own imprint, We Heal.

Featuring tracklist inclusions from Mark Reeve, Tao Andra, Yanamaste, and Heerhorst, the selection emphasises hypnotic patterns and propulsive energy throughout, infusing the mix with a mainstage-ready vitality.

You’ve put together a new mix for our series, what gear did you use to record the mix?

I recorded this mix in Ableton, it sits somewhere between a DJ set and a live set. I started with my next single ‘Safe Space’ and created a custom intro and outro using water sounds, as a reminder that we are water and everything flows.

How did you approach your track selection for this one?

I wanted something introspective but still groovy. I kept it around 140 BPM, which I find is a sweet spot for combining reflection with movement, so you can both feel and move your body.

I played the tunes and added my own sounds, my voice, Moog Sub37, and drums, to create something warm and intimate but also danceable. I recorded it in my studio with candles and palo santo to capture the right vibe, giving the mix a personal, immersive energy.

What advice would you give to any aspiring DJs when it comes to planning and performing a DJ set?

My advice is to stay focused on the journey and the energy you want to transmit, starting from yourself. If you truly enjoy what you’re doing, that’s the first step, feel it fully. Treat each set as an experience that allows you to grow and connect with the audience through a mutual exchange of energy. Approach it with devotion, because music is sacred, and the way you share it can truly transform both you and the people listening.

What gigs do you have on the horizon that you’re particularly excited about?

I’m waiting impatiently for my next tour in Argentina, one of my favourite places in the world. I love South America in general for its deep connection to nature and spirituality, it always inspires my music and my sets.

And one festival or venue you would absolutely love to play one day?

Boom Festival.

Anything else you want to mention before we go?

I just want to say thank you to everyone who supports this journey. Music connects us all in ways words can’t describe, and I’m grateful to be able to share it with the world. I’m also working on new music and projects for my label, focusing on conscious and healing dance experiences, and I’m really excited for what’s coming next.
