MIX342: Nicolas Masseyeff

French selector Nicolas Masseyeff has been refining his craft for more than three decades, and is now widely regarded as one of the elite among his home countries best club talents.

Over the years he’s collaborated with names like Oxia, remixed tracks for Hot Since 82 and Tocadisco, and released original works with labels such as Diversions Music, DGTL, and Systematic Recordings.

His most recent studio offering arrives via the infamous Crosstown Rebels imprint, in the form of his new ‘Renegade’ EP. With three tracks in total, the release comes in collaboration with Dutch brothers Parallelle, and features an excellent remix from Adam Ten & Mita Gami.

Taking the reigns for our mix series this week, Nicolas curates a deep and tech leaning house blend which brings together plucky organ chords, hypnotic vocal loops, and chunky club-focused basslines.

The tracklist is action packed from beginning to end, with inclusions featuring heavyhitter like Latmun, Classmatic, Joseph Ray, and Luna City Express.
