Mano Le Tough returns with ‘Trails’

Mano Le Tough Album Artwork 'Trails'

Rating 9.0

Irish Born, Berlin Resident Mano Le Tough has made a distinct impact on the electronic community over the past few years.

His reputation of finding an emotional connection with crowds has given him a unique place in the scene and launched him up the ranks, climbing to 8th place in Resident Advisors Top 100 DJ poll in 2014.

Trails marks his second album with Permanent Vacation after his last Changing Days LP in 2013. The release can be described as an emotive journey through melodic, pop-inflected electronica, downtempo and house, with feelings of melancholic joy from beginning to end.

With the use of his own vocals alongside the obscure use of broken beats and standout percussion, this should find its place amongst best albums of 2015.

Online previews of the album have been few with ‘Trails’ exclusively available on npr and ‘Empty Early Years and the Seed’ via Permanent Vacation.

The album can be summarised as good listening for the dance floor and the sofa, with synth filled melodic remedies for your mind and feet. The album was released on October 30th and is available now on Permanent Vacation, Beatport and Itunes.
