Luca Olivotto is a producer whose heart belongs to those deep, melodic vibes, but don’t let that fool you into thinking he’s a one trick pony, experimentation is always on the young German’s mind.
Releases on Suara and Madtech and support from Hot Since 82 have done nothing to damage the artists reputation. Olivotto is known for his deep house sound under a range of different monikers, including Rockaforte, and is keen to preserve the “heart of music” throughout his productions.
His latest work, ‘Surroundings’, fuses that deep melodica with the experimentation that he is always striving for. The track begins as subtle, dark keys flash like a dim light guiding you through the darkness. As the track evolves strange, Tale of Us-esque sound makes itself known, adding an alien element to the obscurity. This might just be Olivotto’s best work to date.
