Jozif hits hard with ‘The Spandex Ballet’ on Leftroom (Premiere)

jozif, the spandex ballet, a million to one, leftroom limited, soundspace, techno, premiere

Rating: 9.0

With a catalogue that includes Jasper James, Steve Lawler and Richy Ahmed; London’s Leftroom imprint have planted roots as a go to output for high quality tech house and techno jams and their latest offering brings much of the same quality.

Coming from fellow Londoner Jozif, A Million To One EP brings three cuts; The Spandex Ballet, A Million To One and a live edit of the latter labelled as a Sunset Live Jam. We premiere closing track The Spandex Ballet.

Bringing heavy driven club rhythms, The Spandex Ballet is an all out peak time atomic bomb. It’s filtered synth lines and crunchy percussion play off each other for a masterful progression through the track to the point where the listener is on the edge of their seat.

Then the climax, a chunky blend of solid drum hits and a funky rolling techno bass shake things up in a techno meets electro meets house production. We rate this one highly; and for good reason.

Get ‘Jozif – A Million To One EP’ from July 6th on Leftroom Limited.
