We caught up with Federico Grazzini just prior to his Cigarette For Breakfast EP on Citylow Records. The Italian DJ/Producer calls Ibiza his home and holds a strong bond with the island, read on for more info.

I’m a dance floor lover and recording studio obsessed. My djing is just the logical consequence.

You recently put out the ‘Citylow EP’, can you reveal the inspiration behind the track?

Federico Grazzini

In that days our studio was 24h on, we were jamming, chatting, drinking, smoking and listening to a poem, where we took the sample from, that was perfectly fitting on our jam. The track is born from experimentation, I love to go in different areas and take what I like from everywhere.

I’ve tried to do other jobs more than one time but i always ended up in the dj booth, maybe it means it’s the only thing i’m able to do?

You’re a resident at Zoo Project and live in Ibiza, how’s it feel to call the clubbing capital of the world, home?

Federico Grazzini

I felt home the first time I put my feet on the island as tourist, I always had the feeling to go back home to ibiza instead of going on holiday there. Now that is the place where I live and work, I love the island more and more every second, it’s a special feeling.

Can you talk about any plans you might have for the future?

Federico Grazzini

I’ve already started, i’m traveling to visit some of my friends, and produce music with them in different studios, it will keep me busy the all winter. Changing environment is always inspiring, especially if you do it with people you have a good feeling with, I’m sure i’ll make lots of things.
