Your upcoming October 1st show at KOKO London, what can fans expect?

Intense electronic mayhem fueled by our albums Mexico and Arabian Horse mainly. There is one new track from our next album in the set, so it will be interesting to see how our fans react to it.

How do you feel the band has grown from the early years to now?

Gus Gus

We feel satisfied with our past and all our different music explorations have been fun and inspiring. The urge to try something new has kept us going.

Gus Gus was initially a collective to create film music, how did you become a full electronic music act?

Gus Gus

Well, when we got a fax from 4AD in January 1996 they wanted to sign us as a band. So we sat down and the ones that wanted to transform into this new adventure with 4AD decided to become a band. It was always electronic so we just stuck to what we knew.

Is there any speculation for album number 10?

Gus Gus

Yes, more than speculations though. We have started working on it and there is a vibe forming. Some weird mixture of 70’s arpeggios, new sound sculptures and progressive beats.

Tell us something we shouldn’t know about you?

That we are one of the reasons 4AD almost went bankrupt in the late 90’s.
