A staple of British dance music, Manchester’s The Warehouse Project is no doubt a must on any clubbing fanatics bucket list. Hosting a limited run of club nights in a seasonal format, the consistent quality of line ups gives the club the ability to frequently sell out shows.

Since opening it’s doors in 2006, The Warehouse Project have welcomed a huge number of acts and DJs including such artists as The Prodigy, Sasha, Sven Vath, Deadmau5, Disclosure and Carl Cox among others.

Given it’s size, location and musical quality, the club comes in at #5 on our list of top clubs to experience before your passing.

#4 on our list of must visit clubs is the highest on DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs of any of the five we included, dropping one place from 2014, Space, Ibiza now holds the #2 spot and being responsible for hosting parties like Carl Cox’s Music Is Revolution, Richie Hawtin’s Enter and Luciano’s Vagabundos, it’s not hard to see why.

When it comes to Ibiza parties, Space offer one of the most intriguing visual shows available, from exotic dancers to Kyroman performance’s; the 25 year old superclub has it all.

With ticket prices commonly close to €50, it’s not cheap. But with most nights bringing at least half a dozen headliners, it’s money well spent.

Though not technically a club, The Zoo Project has every right to make our list. Taking place in an abandoned zoo in Benimussa, Ibiza, it takes a unique approach to the showcasing of electronic music.

Set entirely during the daytime, events run from 4pm to 12am and with everything from outdoor pools, an open air environment and human mermaids, it pretty much has it all. Stages include The Seal Pit, The Treehouse and The Living Room.

Previous guests include Catz’n’Dogz, Jamie Jones, Dense & Pika and George Fitzgerald among others, with tickets priced at only €35 it’s no surprise the high percentage of shows that sell out.

2. Berghain, Berlin
Capacity: 1500

Infamous for it’s strict door policy and no cameras rule, #2 on our list of clubs to experience before you die is Berlin’s (and perhaps the worlds) techno hub Berghain.

Open since 2004, Berghain has received international fame due to turning away punters for what seems like no reason, add this to it having a severely enforced no camera policy (which is also respected by most attendees) and it becomes almost impossible to find any video from inside the club.

Housed in a former power plant, the building features an 18 metre high dance floor and a complete industrial appearance of concrete and steel. Such walls have played host to some of techno’s most iconic DJs over the years, with performances from Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann and DVS1.

Berghain is the only other club than Space to achieved #1 club in the world from DJ Mag, peaking in 2009, though now sits at #13 on the Top 100.

The #1 club we recommend you visit in your lifetime proves that size doesn’t matter, it’s all about experience and music is the most important thing. Berlin’s Watergate club opened in 2002, alongside a label and CD series.

The two floor (Waterfloor and Mainfloor) club boasts an infamous 12 metre LED ceiling, floor to ceiling windows over looking the Spree and a terrace accessible through the Waterfloor.

The club remains open through to 12pm, so the full length windows allow for a one of kind experience to watch the sunrise over Berlin’s Spree. The club use black out curtains to withdraw or insert sunlight at the DJs request, allowing for complete control and the best night (and morning) possible.

Watergates lines up are some of the most impressive in the city, with appearances from Sven Vath, Heidi, Sebo K and Alex Niggemann.

Entrance is priced at just €15, making the line ups insane value for money.
